New Legionella Risk Assessment Service

From the beginning of May 2005, ACS will be able to carry out Legionella Risk Assessment services. Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002, employers and those who control premises have the following responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess sources of risk.

  • Implement and manage precautions;
  • Keep record of the precautions implemented;
  • Appoint a responsible person.

Homeworker Risk Management Service Launched

ACS is proud to introduce a new Homeworker Risk Management service.

The launch of this service means that ACS can now provide a comprehensive risk management package for Homeworkers. An employer's legal duty towards his employees is exactly the same regardless of where the employee works. Therefore, homeworkers are subject to the same requirements as office-based staff, for example, risk assessments, PAT testing and DSE assessments. This package will reduce the cost and inconvenience of organising a number of separate contractors to ensure total legal compliance.

'PAT' testing is also available on a standalone basis. Why not have 'PAT' testing carried out at the same time as your DSE Assessment?

ACS Continue Regional Expansion Plans

ACS have continued with their recent expansion plans and are pleased to announce the opening of their new regional office in Bristol. Following the successful growth of their office in Port Talbot, Wales, ACS Director, Emma Willey has spearheaded this ambitious venture which closely reflects the organisation's dramatic growth rate. This regional base will provide an ideal location to offer the full range of Asbestos, Environmental and Safety services to the South and South West.
